We raise Mangalitsa pigs with great care. Raised on hill country pastures and oak tree groves, the extra grow time creates rich flavor and well-marbled meat. Mangalitsa’s are a heritage lard breed pig from Hungary known for their rich, buttery fat which is low in saturated fat and high in Vitamin D. They are slower growing, taking 18 months to mature vs 6-9 months for commercially farmed breeds.
